A bit of a change

so, as most of you know Brian and I like things simple and easy....so instead of tryin to plan a wedding a few states away, we decided to get married in our hometown..Manhappiness. We are getting married in my grandma's backyard where my parents were married which is awesome! Not only did we change the location, but also decided to bump up the date a bit...so now we are getting married August 23, 2008. After we decided on the biltmore we realized that it was a big football game for KU and KSU, and since 100% of our guests are football fans, we thought that might be an issue. We are very excited to have it in our hometown and have it be more meaningful and special to the both of us!

To My Surprise

Well, to my surprise we got a TON of stuff done in Arizona for the wedding. We decided on a date, November 15, 2008 at the Arizona Biltmore!! I'm so excited! While we were there we also got a Photographer, Florist, and Rehearsal dinner figured out. To my surprise it was soo easy and simple, which is definitely the way i like things to go. The Biltmore is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It couldn't be more perfect..it also has special meaning because that's where the family went for G.B's 70th birthday celebration and most of the architecture is done by Frank Lloyd Wright, which is Katie's favorite architect. We had a great time staying at Stewy's house, seeing some friends, and also had some time for a little R&R...GOOD TRIP!

On the Road

Well Today we are heading down to Arizona to look at venues and check out some photographers! hopefully we find one that we like and the ball can keep rolling! Keep your fingers crossed...i will let you know how it goes!

MY RING!!!

Even though we have been engaged for a couple weeks now,We decided to design a ring together. I just got my beautiful ring yesterday afternoon... its perfect! i love it!

Ready, Set, Plan!

well, the planning has begun...its only been a few weeks and i never realized how much work it took to plan a wedding! WOW! so far, we have the ring (check), decided on Scottsdale, AZ for the location (Check), planned our first trip down to Scottsdale(check), and lets see umm....yup, that's basically it! haha. I think i have been playing phone tag with every venue for the past week and now have their number stuck in my head (permanently)..haha. Even though its a lot of work, I'm enjoying it...a lot! I went dress shopping with my mom on Friday, and to my surprise i found THE DRESS! which I'm totally excited about. I just didn't want to take it off..its BEAUTIFUL!! well thats it for now..i will keep you posted on more planning!!
