A Night to Remember

Last night Stewy, Bri and I went over to the Barton's for some drinks and good conversation. We had no idea what the night was going to turn into. Bri and Stewy started to brag about their blue ribbons from the 3-legged race days at Marlatt. Jenny and I challenged them to a race to see if they still had it. So, we tied 2 of Eric's ties around our ankles and thats where it all started. Stewy and Bri cheated on the 1st race, the 2nd race Jenny and I dominated, but on the 3rd race Stewy and Bri defeated us.

Following the 3-legged race, we decided that wasn't enough. Why not bring back the sack race?!? So of course, the Barton's had 10 potato sacks laying around the house and then the race was ON! We had so much fun. Stewy won the 1st race, then Eric and Stewy tied the 2nd race. Following the Sack Race, we had a hula hoop contest. Julia (the Barton's 6 yr old daughter) dominated all of us. As a matter of fact, Bri lost 20 dollars to Julia in a hula hoop contest..ouch! Defeated by a 6 yr old! She made it look so easy!

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! It's great having such amazing friends that live so close. We always have so much fun going over to the Barton's house, sitting on the deck, and having good conversation. It's definitely one of my favorite things to do.

bbq

Jessa was home for more than 48 hrs, so we decided have a bbq with our friends and family. It was a great time. Brian and I cooked up quite the feast. We had baked beans, pulled pork, tortellini salad, mac & cheese, and desserts. All of it was so yummy!

It was so great having all of our friends together and especially for my sister join in on the fun. Our good friend, Mikie-dude brought over his homemade corn hole game, which was a big hit. It was a rockin' good time. I can't wait to have more bbq's when Jessa is a resident of Kansas again.
