I was going through our storage and found 2 baby albums and my all time favorite book as a child, Little Rabbit Foo Foo. On the inside of the book, it says the Stultz family gave it to me for Christmas in 1990. I didn't even need to open to book to remember how my favorite parts go:
"Little Rabbit Foo Foo, riding through the forest
Scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head..."
"Hare today, goon tomorrow!"
It's a great children's book and I can't wait to read it to our little guy. I hope he loves it as much as I did.

New Kicks
Jenny and her daughter, Julia got us these awesome Chuck Taylor shoes! They are the cutest little things. I can't wait for our little boy to sport them! They look a lot bigger in the picture, but actually they are pretty tiny. They don't even have real soles on the bottom. Haha! I love 'em! Thanks Jenn and Little Miss!

The verdict is in....
Its official .... the Abbott name will carry on. We are so excited to be having a boy. We had a sono at 12 weeks at the tech could pretty much tell it was a boy and it was clear to us. But before we decided to paint the nursery blue and announce it, we wanted to be a 100% sure. And judging by this picture... It's a boy, no question. haha.
After the sonogram, Brian finally confessed he was pulling for a boy. haha. I honestly didn't have an opinion, I was going to be excited either way. But now that's its for sure a boy, I'm VERY excited.
We received some sono pics, which was fun! Our little one was lying on his side facing my belly button, so he looks like an alien baby. However, he's the cutest alien baby I've ever seen :)
I couldn't believe how big he's gotten since we saw him at 12 weeks. It's amazing how fast babies grow in your belly. One minute he's a size of raisin and before you know it, he's the size of a banana! We are loving this experience so far. I'm excited to finally start decorating the nursery and enjoying that lovely stage called nesting!

Cravings
So at the beginning of my pregnancy all I wanted was pickles. I know, very stereotypical for a pregnancy, but it just sounded so good! I couldn't get enough of them. These days, I'm craving an oldie, but goodie.... tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Maybe because it's been chilly outside and something warm sounds really good, I'm not sure. I guess that's why they are called cravings.

Mama's got a new ride!
After 3 long months of my KIA being in Junction City and having a rental car that barely drives, I finally have a new car! I absolutely love it! It's a 2010 Nissan Armada. I know it looks big, but we wanted a car that we could throw 3 dogs, a baby and head to Manhappy. Driving only 1 car to Manhattan sure makes things a lot easier and saves gas! When I'm driving the Nissan it really doesn't feel that big, apparently I was ready for the upgrade. Love it!

Hello 2nd Trimester!!
I finally know why everyone says that the 2nd trimester is the best! I have felt so good lately, no more nausea! For some women, they wake up one morning and feel fantastic. For me, it just gradually got better, but I still get tired easily. But I guess that's expected when you're growing a little one inside.
I finally feel like I'm starting to look preggers rather than looking like I had too much for lunch! Haha. Bri and I have started working on names and we have a pretty good idea what we are going to name this little bambino. However, I'm sure more names will be added to the list with time. It's been so fun to start looking at nursery ideas and thinking about registering. Speaking of creating a baby registry.... HOLY HELL! I had no idea that you needed so many different things for a baby. There's so many different options for everything you need, it's rather overwhelming! Thankfully, my wonderful sister in law (Katie) said she would come to my resuce and go with us when we register since she's been down that road recently. Thank God! haha.
Our next ultrasound appt is the 23rd of March and I can't wait to see how big the baby has gotten! Hopefully I will have good ultrasound pics to share. So far, this has been the most amazing experience in my life. I love reading about how big the baby is and hearing the fast little heartbeat every morning. 1 trimester down, 2 to go!
